Letter From Sharon M. Draper

Dear Students of White Rock Elementary,

I am SO excited to be a part of your project as we send Melody around the world! It's going to be awesome to see where she goes and how far she reaches. Your class is absolutely brilliant to plan this project, and I am very, very proud to be working with you.

I am so glad that the book touched you and made you smile as well as think. I believe the book is blessed, and I am thankful I'm able to share it with the world. Let's see what happens next!

                                                                                       Sincerely,
                                                                                       Sharon M. Draper

  1. Dear Sharon,
I Co-teach in this classroom two times per day. I have to say that in the 32 years that I have taught, I have never experienced a class so excited about their global studies and adventures. Thank you for helping us all learn!!

  3. Hello Everyone
Melody has been with us since the end of last week and we are going to be sending her on her way very shortly. She has been placed in our class in New Zealand with our class (Room One) and also one of our students. Alyssa. Alyssa is a very special student in our class because she is in a power chair due to her physical challenges. She has her own blog which is located here: http://alyssamauroa.blogspot.co.nz/2014/02/thank-you.html if you watch that video you can see Alyssa (and her family featured). We will send Melody on her way very shortly.
